In a shoot for her latest music video Teenage Dream, Katy Perry kissed a boy other than her hunky husband-to-be Russell Brand. In one scene the Californian girl is featured cosying up to a gorgeous actor Josh Kloss, who starred in The OC. And when it came to getting intimate the pair seemed to have no problems whatsoever. The singer was all smiles – we are not really surprised though - who wouldn’t be happy with a guy like that? As for Russ, it could be worse, at least he hasn’t lost out to a girl this time...
The Kings of Leon were forced to walk off stage mid-gig after an infestation of pigeons in the venue led to them being pooped on as they sang. Gross! The clueless audience in St Louis, Missouri, who had no idea why the band were walking off stage after three songs, started booing and chanting "Refund". Later, the band's drummer Nathan Followill explained all in an apologetic Tweet to their fans, "So sorry St. Louis. We had to bail, pigeons s****ing in Jared's mouth. Too unsanitary to continue. Sorry for all who traveled many miles."
According to their publicist, "Jared was hit several times during the first two songs. On the third song, when he was hit in the cheek and some of it landed near his mouth, they couldn't deal any longer. It's not only disgusting - it's a toxic hazard. They really tried to hang in there." The band's cheeky statement read, "We want to apologize to our fans in St. Louis and will come back as soon as we can. No fans got pooped on as far as we know." Haven't they ever heard that getting pooped on is good luck? Or is that just a superstitious lie someone made up to console unlucky poo-bomb victims.

At the London premiere of his new film Knight and Day last night, Tom Cruise revealed that he has been urging his pal David Beckham to become an actor. Tom said: "I've been encouraging him to become an actor. He's got the looks, he's got everything. He'd be terrific." Talking about Justin’s character, a source explained: "Jason McCann, a troubled teen who is faced with a terrible decision regarding his only brother—a decision that leads him into an explosive confrontation with the CSIs. Even though he didn’t win the X-Factor last year, Simon Cowell still seems very involved in the career of Olly Murs, who releases his debut single next month and an album in September. Simon’s record label has stumped up £100,000 to fund a documentary about Olly to air on ITV2 to promote his album. A source said: "Sony really want Olly to be a success so they have funded a documentary about him for ITV2. "The idea is for fans to get to know the real Olly so, hopefully, they will buy his album." Newsflash for all you Big Brother fans - Caoimhe has left the building. After sticking it out for an impressive 42 days and countless nominations, the Irish housemate said goodbye to everyone before exiting through the diary room door at 1pm today. Last night Caoimhe asked Big Brother if she could leave, saying she wanted to get back to her boyfriend and family, and that she was finding life tough in the house. She told her fellow housemates that she values the relationship with her boyfriend more than continuing her Big Brother experience. A few minutes after she left, Mr Sensitive a.k.a John-James, took to the nest and shed a few tears. Awww. Will you be sad to see her go?
One of our favourite lad bands McFly have decided it's time for a change musically. Not that there was anything wrong with their old stuff - 7 UK Number One singles, 5 Top Ten albums, millions of record sales and sell-out tours have secured McFly's place as one of the UK's most successful bands of all time. But sometimes change is good and McFly are amping up their sound with the help of Taio Cruz and hitmaker Dallas Austin. Their new single Party Girl is out on September 5th.
Launching later on in the year will be McFly's interactive subscription-based website Super City. It's set to be a 3D virtual world where fans can interact directly with the band, and earn points to exchange for money-can't-buy prizes. Sounds amazing to us.
